I dont know why but this past weekend I have been seriously thinking of selling my car for a 5th gen civic coupe that I wont mod out that much, or maybe a 93 cherokee sport. I think I am getting a little tired of my smelly interior, and my harsh ride, and my loud exhaust... ALSO, the fact that my budget doesnt allow me to go any further with any more mods....I think I'm also getting board with the whole thing....It might just be my mood this weekend who knows. Another thing, around my town I am the oldest person who drives a modded honda....seems all the kids I meet are in highschool! Nothing wrong with that but I dont know....maybe if I lived in PA. Who knows....Thinking about a 5th gen coupe with Thule surf racks, for my longboard, and just tinting the windows, my GSR's and a system, and that's it....or a cherokee sport with a system....
How much can I get for my car? I figure I need around 4000 to get a car I mentioned above....
I would need to get close to that and then save a little////
is 3500-4000 a fair asking price??

It doesn't matter how old you are, I am 21 and I hope to still have a 4th gen when I'm 30 or 40 or whatever. By the time I'm finished with school and working for school I will have a decent job and some real money to spend for a 4th gen. I want to build the ultimate 4th gen, that won't be reality till I'm 30 or maybe even 40 but that doesn't matter it's just about what you want to do, age is not important.
So if you are ever in Europe in about 10-15 years and you see an old bold dude driving a killer 4th gen, it's me

You need to seriously drive one of those cherokees around for a month. You'll real quick learn what is nice in both the cherokee and the civic and what works for you.
I like my truck. To tell you the truth I couldn't stand the bumps...and that's a performance tradeoff with a light car. Performance = les weight, that's a given. And the nice thing is I can run 16 and 17 inch rims and still have torque and move the truck pretty quickly...rim offest leaves for a deep inset. Looks sweet.
But I've had a good deal of GM problems, intermittent Speedo when I drive for an hour or more - heat related I assume. Head gasket went on the 2.2l engine I have. rear-end stutter from it being a pickup and light on the backside (also worn struts)....but there's nothing like drifting the rear-end around corners...especially when the truck has a 2/3 drop with a rear sway (well it will, but I've been in a 4/5 lowered and it's nice).
Your gonna miss the corners and running fast through them, being able to run through the gears, jump in and out of traffic, and just knowing that the car gets looks. You'll miss it and you won't. There's tradeoffs ya know.
But most Import everything came from the show trucks. And some people end up going to it.
I'll tell you what, if your interested in an S-10 and say your looking to buy one....look into a V-6 4.3 with extended cab in the new trim 98+...and definately get a stick...if you can afford the extreme, it's money well spent. If not they make a replica kit and hotchski's suspension surpasses the stock extreme setup. And you can fit in a Vortec V-8 with the stock Extreme rear end and transmission swap for under $4000. You can even get a somewhat affordable rear disc upgrade. And far better, get rid of the mechanical fan and install an MSD ignition. There's so much you can do with them to make 'em better you'd be surprised.
